Royal Caribbean Grandeur of
the Seas
The beautiful Grandeur of the Seas
entered service in 1996 for Royal Caribbean
International as the first of four near-sisters that
have
proven to be the engines behind the cruise line's
phenomenal growth in the last decade. Grandeur of
the Seas and her sisters are very classy ships, with
expansive public rooms, lots of teak, marble and
exquisite art collections.

In J's-R-Us
Travel Grandeur of the Seas picture gallery
you will be viewing pictures
from a ship inspection I did in San Francisco
and of
the 7-day Western Caribbean Cruise my husband and I
took out of New Orleans.
Embarking out of New Orleans is an experience in
itself. As the first leg of our cruise was down the
Mississippi for approximately 100 miles to the
beautiful waters of the Western Caribbean....more

Welcome Aboard!!!
Most
passengers will board Grandeur of the Seas via the
ship's stunning 8-deck high Centrum (three to your
left). Topped with a glass roof, this is the
physical heart of the ship, housing the Purser's
Office, Shore Excursion Desk, Photo Gallery and Art
Gallery.

Another Royal Caribbean exclusive is the Solarium,
and outdoor/indoor pool area
protected from the elements by a retractable glass
roof. Two jacuzzis and the popular
Solarium Café (pick up a quick snack, hotdog, pizza,
and hamburgers) complement this wonderful area.
Further aft of the Solarium is the expansive
Shipshape Spa, with all the well known treatment and
work out rooms.

More intimate pictures that you won't see in
brochures.

Along with the bathrooms I have taken pictures for
you
of an inside
cabin,
outside cabin and a suite, which I feel are a very
important part of
your cruise
experience. The inside and outside cabins
are approximately
the same size and the suites all
have
balconies which allow you to relax and enjoy
the room service and the moon lit sea.

Shore Excursions
We
were able to take 2 shore excursions, a “Catamaran
Sail, Snorkel and Beach Party” in Cozumel
where we played in the sea, sand and with the fish; and the
“Merida City Shopping and Mexican Fiesta” in Progreso where we learned a little history on the
Yucatan Peninsula plus a visit to a horse ranch
where we learned about the Mexican Cowboys.
Both were enjoyable!

Bon Voyage!
