In May of 2003 I took probably the most
fantastic
 FAM
trip I have taken yet through the Canadian Rockies.
Our trip started by flying into Toronto (during the
SARS epidemic – no big deal) and then the next
morning boarding VIA Rail for 2 nights across
Canada to Jasper. You’ll be able to see some of my
900 pictures taken on this trip of my rail
experience which was great. The only problem I had
is that I had packed to much for living out of a
suitcase. An experience I never had before....more pictures
The
FAM was for 7 nights, 2 on
VIA Rail and 1 each in
Toronto, Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff, and Calgary.
The hotels were all Fairmont Hotels with 2 of them
being famous, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and
The Fairmont Banff Springs (the Castle). Our Lake
View Suite at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge had us
waking up with the Elk right out side our front door. We also
visited the Columbia Ice Fields where we took a snocoach and walked on a glacier and the
Sulphur
Mountain Gondola. What a view!...more pictures

I was invited on this FAM by
Cartan Tours from attending a Canadian Specialists
Program. I was not familiar with Cartan and this
gave me a great opportunity to see their product.....more pictures
 This
tour was an excellent way to see Canada and to
experience those fantastic Canadian Rockies along with
all the critters we saw along the way....more pictures
